Height Adjustable Desk Assembly
Congratulations to all of you who have made the change to a height adjustable desk. The move towards standing at work, for at least part of the day, has been the most significant trend in the office furniture industry in more than 20 years.
The health benefits of standing at work for at least part of the day are well documented and supported by many studies showing a decrease in the incidence of obesity, Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer.
Despite the numerous health benefits of standing at work, the blood pressure of a few people has been raised recently when attempting to assemble their new height adjustable desk.
Height adjustable desk assembly of both the Cubit and Elevate models is relatively straightforward. These models have been developed to make it as easy as possible for the new user to assemble and begin using.
So here are a few tips to make that task even simpler and less time consuming.
First, it’s always easier to construct your new height adjustable desk upside down. Place the desk top on the floor with the underside facing up, then assemble the frame and attach to the desk top. Make sure you have somebody else to help turn the top and frame right side up once assembly is completed.
Second, it is important to note the following when constructing either the Cubit or Elevate adjustable height desk: Often the desk top will be supplied with threaded holes embedded in its underside and accompanying assembly instructions will advise those holes need to be connected to the frame with M6 screws.
Please ignore those instructions as in most cases the top is connected to the frame with wood screws (also supplied) as the embedded thread holes and and frame do not match up. Instead, simply place the frame approximately 80 mm in from the back edge and centrally placed between the left and right hand sides.
Assembly may be completed with a philips screwdriver and/or the alan key supplied, however it’s easier to complete the task with a cordless drill.
Please don’t hesitate to contact Uno Furniture if you require any further assistance with the assembly process.
